See Your Life Changed!
In conjuction with Servant Life, Mission Sebenzela will be hosting two full weeks of Kids Camp in July 2009. Join us for an awesome week of serving kids from the poverty stricken areas of South Africa.
Servant Life is a ministry initiated by Servant Life to provide ministry experiences for students to connect God’s word to the nations. At this time the mission involves offering short term mission experiences in seven countries, distributing free online Bible Study curriculum resources to believers in 40 countries, a strong relationship with Compassion International resulting in children being released from poverty in 26 countries, hundreds of orphans being given hope through a partnership Hope for Orphans of the World and thousands of teenagers going on short term mission projects in the United States. They currently have partnerships in Ukraine, Ecuador, Peru and with Mission Sebenzela in South Africa.
July 3 - July 12 - Berakah Foundation
The Berakah Foundation has served Mamelodi Township for the last 12 years. They have built significant relationships in this impoverished area of 1 million people, including the leadership of many schools in the area. One of these schools will play host to the camp with the full support of the principal. This school has over 1,600
students. It has been reported to us that 80% of these children are orphans and 40% of them are suspected to be HIV positive. This is where our camps began 4 years ago. We hosted almost 500 children, staff and workers in 2008, and we look forward to another increast this year. If you want your world view to be turned upside down, don't miss out on this opportunity.
June 26 - July 5 - Motheong Primary School
Motheong Primary school is a Christian private school serving the Atteridgeville Township of West Pretoria. It houses a pre-school, offers classes for 3-year olds and 4-year olds as well as Grades 1 - 7. About 200 children attend the Motheong. Mission Sebenzela has entered into a strategic alliance with the school and we have strong support from the administration and faculty. Many of these
children come from disadvantaged backgrounds and many are being sponsored to attend the school. A children's home for orphans located nearby has all of their children in attendance at Motheong. Our camp attendance exceeded expectations.
