Mission Sebenzela and our partner Student Life Missions are conducting two children's day camps for the kids of the Mamelodi and Atteridgeville Townships. We are looking for students to join us for a 10 day mission trip that will change your life!

Mission Sebenzela hosts many short term mission teams throughout the year. We would be blessed to host you and your group to discover how God can use you to impact the lives of the people of Africa for Christ. Whether your desire is to do construction, preach the Gospel, love on kids, provide medical services, or to pray for the sick and dying, Mission Sebenzela can provide an opportunity for you to do what God has placed on your heart.

We are no longer taking applications for positions as summer interns. But it is not too early to begin looking at 2009. This multi-week program will provide the opportunity to gain first hand experience in a variety of services that are part of our ministry. These include taking part in hosting

There are over 1 million orphans in South Africa alone. Many are looked after by older siblings or grannies. Fortunate ones have been taken into shelters. You can help.

In September 2006, Mission Sebenzela partnered with Alabanza and AIM to host 18 young adults in a First Year Missionary program. Combing intense discipleship with real life ministry opportunities, this program lays a foundation for the participants to enter the next phase of God's plan for their life.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)

Much of the focus of Mission Sebenzela is to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the children of Africa. There are over 1 million orphans in South Africa alone and at least that many more live in intolerable and dangerous conditions. The ministry seeks abandoned and vulnerable children and finds places of safety for them, serves those orphans living in home-based care, works with partners to offer after-school programs, and has plans to launch an additional shelter. Moreover, Mission Sebenzela has helped to plant a children's church in a rural area outside of Johannesburg.
